حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْ
هِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَمْنَعُوا النِّسَاءَ حُظُوظَهُنَّ مِنْ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَّكُمْ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ وَاللَّهِ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَقُولُ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, from Sa'id ibn Abi Ayyub, from Ka'b ibn 'Alqama, from Bilal ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, from his father — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do not prevent women from their share [of attendance] at the mosques when they seek your permission." Bilal [ibn 'Abdullah] said: "By Allah, we will certainly prevent them!" 'Abdullah [ibn 'Umar] said: "I say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said such-and-such — and you say: we will certainly prevent them!"'
