English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Wahhab, from Ayyub, from Nafi' — that he said: 'A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, what clothing may we wear when in ihram?" He said: "Do not wear the shirt, the trousers, the turban, or leather socks — except one who cannot find sandals; let him wear them cut below the ankles. And do not wear a burnus [hooded cloak], nor anything from garments that has been touched by wars [yellow dye] or saffron."'
