حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي ثُوَيْرٌ

عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُذُوا مِنْ هَذَا وَدَعُوا هَذَا يَعْنِي شَارِبَهُ الْأَعْلَى يَأْخُذُ مِنْهُ يَعْنِي الْعَنْفَقَةَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Ubayda ibn Humayd, from Thuwayr, from Mujahid — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Take from this and leave this" — meaning: one should trim the upper mustache, but leave the 'anfaqa [the small tuft of hair between the lower lip and the chin].'
