حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَأَعْطَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَس

َلَّمَ رَجُلًا فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَبْتَاعُ الْفَرَسَ الَّذِي حَمَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَا تَبْتَعْهُ وَلَا تَرْجِعْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ

English Translation

Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, 'Ubaydullah narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما), that 'Umar donated a horse in the cause of Allah, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave it to a man. 'Umar later found it being sold in the market and wanted to buy it. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not buy back what you gave in charity.'
