English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Ali ibn Hashim ibn al-Barid, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Nafi' — that the Prophet ﷺ stoned [for adultery] a Jewish man and a Jewish woman. — [Ahmad's son 'Abdullah said: 'My father said: "I heard from 'Ali ibn Hashim ibn al-Barid in the year 179, in the first year I sought hadith, in one session, then I returned for another session and he had died — and that was the same year in which Malik ibn Anas died."']
