English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ya'qub, from his father, from Ibn Ishaq, from Nafi' — that there was an Ansari man who was constantly being cheated in transactions, and he had a speech impediment. He complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the deception he encountered. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'When you make a transaction, say: "No deception [la khilabah]!"' Ibn 'Umar said: 'By Allah, it is as if I can hear him making transactions and saying "No deception!" with his tongue stumbling.'
