حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ وَيَفْتَتِحُ الصَّلَاةَ وَحِينَ يَرْكَعُ وَحِينَ يَسْجُدُ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via al-Hakam ibn Nafi', from Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash, from Salih ibn Kaysan, from Nafi' — from the Prophet ﷺ: that he used to raise his hands level with his shoulders when making the opening takbir and beginning the prayer, and when bowing, and when prostrating. [A preceding chain via the same narrators but through 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj from Abu Hurayra reports the same practice from the Prophet ﷺ, and the chain then continues via Nafi' from Ibn 'Umar similarly.]
