English Translation

Hafs ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, Layth narrated to us who said: 'I entered upon Salim ibn Abdullah while he was reclining on a cushion that had pictures of birds and wild animals on it. I said: "Is this not disliked?" He said: "No, what is disliked is only what is hung up." Then he said: "My father narrated to me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that Jibril (عليه السلام) said: 'We do not enter a house in which there is an image or a dog.'"'
