حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي حُيَيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى ال
لَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَرِيَّةً فَغَنِمُوا وَأَسْرَعُوا الرَّجْعَةَ فَتَحَدَّثَ النَّاسُ بِقُرْبِ مَغْزَاهُمْ وَكَثْرَةِ غَنِيمَتِهِمْ وَسُرْعَةِ رَجْعَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى أَقْرَبَ مِنْهُ مَغْزًى وَأَكْثَرَ غَنِيمَةً وَأَوْشَكَ رَجْعَةً مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ غَدَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لِسُبْحَةِ الضُّحَى فَهُوَ أَقْرَبُ مَغْزًى وَأَكْثَرُ غَنِيمَةً وَأَوْشَكُ رَجْعَةً

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hasan, from Ibn Lahi'a, from Huyayy ibn 'Abdullah, from Abu 'Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dispatched a raiding party [sariyya] and they obtained war spoils and returned quickly. People began speaking about the speed of their reward and how soon they had obtained spoils. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Shall I not tell you of those with the greatest reward? — A man who takes hold of the reins of his horse in the path of Allah and rides upon it in the thick of battle, his agitation stirring the ground — wherever he hears a cry [of battle] he flies toward it. He is given death or victory."'
