English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hammad ibn Mas'ada, from Ibn 'Ajlan, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The seller and the buyer retain the option [to rescind the transaction] until they part ways — unless it is an option-stipulated transaction. And it is not lawful for either to leave the other out of fear that the other will request rescission.'
