Hadith #208
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْهَادِ عَ
نْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْكَسَلِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ وَالْمَأْثَمِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yunus, from Layth, from Yazid ibn al-Had, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, extreme old age [haram], debt, and sin. I seek refuge in You from the trial of the False Messiah [al-Masih al-Dajjal]. I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. And I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire.'
