حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرٍ قَالَ أَتَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَلَى نَوْفٍ الْبِكَالِيِّ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ فَقَالَ حَدِّثْ فَإِنَّا قَدْ نُهِينَا عَنْ الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ مَا كُنْتُ لِأُحَدِّثُ وَعِنْدِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ ا
للَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ سَتَكُونُ هِجْرَةٌ بَعْدَ هِجْرَةٍ فَخِيَارُ الْأَرْضِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ لَخِيَارُ الْأَرْضِ إِلَى مُهَاجَرِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَيَبْقَى فِي الْأَرْضِ شِرَارُ أَهْلِهَا تَلْفِظُهُمْ الْأَرْضُ وَتَقْذَرُهُمْ نَفْسُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَتَحْشُرُهُمْ النَّارُ مَعَ الْقِرَدَةِ وَالْخَنَازِيرِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu Dawud and 'Abd al-Samad (same meaning), from Hisham, from Qatada, from Shahr — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr came upon Nawf al-Bika'li while he [Nawf] was narrating. ['Abdullah] said: 'Narrate — for we have been forbidden from narrating.' [Nawf] said: 'I would not narrate while I have with me a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who is also from Quraysh.' 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There will be a hijra after [the original] hijra — and the best of the land" — 'Abd al-Samad said in his version: "the best of the land to migrate to will be the homeland of Ibrahim [i.e., Syria/Sham]. Then the worst of its people will remain on the earth — the earth will expel them, Allah (عز وجل) Himself will despise them, and the Fire will herd them together with the monkeys and the pigs."'
