ثُمَّ قَالَ حَدِّثْ فَإِنَّا قَدْ نُهِينَا عَنْ الْحَدِيثِ فَقَالَ مَا كُنْتُ لِأُحَدِّثُ وَعِنْدِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَ
قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَخْرُجُ قَوْمٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ كُلَّمَا قُطِعَ قَرْنٌ نَشَأَ قَرْنٌ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ فِي بَقِيَّتِهِمْ الدَّجَّالُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — [continuation of the same gathering] — that [Nawf] then said: 'Narrate — for we have been forbidden from narrating.' He [Nawf] said: 'I would not narrate while I have with me a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who is also from Quraysh.' 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "A people will emerge from the direction of the east who recite the Quran but it does not pass beyond their collarbones. Every time a generation is cut off, a new generation emerges — until the Dajjal emerges among their remnants."'
