Arabic Text
قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ زَعَمُوا أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو شَهِدَ بِهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَا
لَ إِنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ الرَّابِعَةِ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ قَالَ فَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ ائْتُونِي بِرَجُلٍ قَدْ جُلِدَ فِي الْخَمْرِ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّ لَكُمْ عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr, from Qurra, from al-Hasan — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr bore witness before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: 'If he drinks wine — flog him. Then if he drinks — flog him. Then if he drinks — flog him. When it comes to the fourth time — strike his neck.' 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr used to say: 'Bring me a man who has been flogged for wine four times — and it is upon me to strike his neck.'
