English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Yazid, from Habib [al-Mu'allim], from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Three types of people attend Jumu'ah: A man who attends it and engages in idle talk — that is his share of it. A man who attends it with supplication — he is a man who supplicated to Allah (عز وجل), and if He wills He grants him, and if He wills He withholds. And a man who attends it in attentiveness and silence, does not step over the neck of any Muslim, and does not harm anyone — it is an expiation [for his sins] until the Jumu'ah that follows it plus three additional days, for Allah says: {Whoever comes with a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof} [6:160].'
