Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ شَهْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللّ
َهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ وَمَنْ شَرِبَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبَ الثَّالِثَةَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Hammam, from Qatada, from Shahr, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'If someone drinks wine — flog him. If he drinks a second time — flog him. Then if he drinks a third time — flog him. Then if he drinks a fourth time — kill him.'
