English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Qutayba, from Ibn Lahi'a, from Wahib ibn 'Abdullah — that he said: 'I saw in a dream — as one sees while sleeping — that in one of my two fingers there was clarified butter [samn] and in the other honey, and I was licking them. When morning came, I mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: "You will read the two Books: the Torah and the Furqan [Quran]."' And so he used to read both of them.
