حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ النَّاقِدُ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ التَّيْمِيِّ أَتَ
يْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعِي ابْنٌ لِي فَقَالَ ابْنُكَ هَذَا قُلْتُ أَشْهَدُ بِهِ قَالَ لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ قَالَ وَرَأَيْتُ الشَّيْبَ أَحْمَرَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Rimtha (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abdullah [ibn Ahmad], from 'Amr ibn Muhammad ibn Bukayr al-Naqid, from Hushaym — who narrated it multiple times — from 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr, from Iyad ibn Laqit — from Abu Rimtha al-Taymi, who said: 'I came to the Prophet ﷺ with a son of mine. He said: "Is this your son?" I said: "I testify to it." He said: "He shall not be held accountable for you, nor shall you for him."' He [Abu Rimtha] said: 'And I saw that his [the Prophet ﷺ's] gray hair was reddish.'
