حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ وَمُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو أَنَّ بَكْرَ بْنَ سَوَادَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ نَفَرًا مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ دَخَلُوا عَلَى أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ فَدَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ وَهِيَ تَحْتَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَرَآهُمْ فَكَرِه
َ ذَلِكَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَمْ أَرَ إِلَّا خَيْرًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ بَرَّأَهَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ لَا يَدْخُلَنَّ رَجُلٌ بَعْدَ يَوْمِي هَذَا عَلَى مُغِيبَةٍ إِلَّا وَمَعَهُ رَجُلٌ أَوْ اثْنَانِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Harun ibn Ma'ruf and Mu'awiya ibn 'Amr, from Ibn Wahb, from 'Amr, from Bakr ibn Sawada, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr — that he said: 'A group from Banu Hashim entered upon Asma' bint 'Umays. Abu Bakr also entered and, seeing them there, showed displeasure. He mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "She was not more lawfully [theirs] than yours. You are my brother and my companion." Asma' said: "After that day I would not allow any of the Banu Hashim to enter upon me if Abu Bakr was absent."'
