English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hasan, from Ibn Lahi'a, from Huyayy ibn 'Abdullah al-Ma'afiri, from Abu 'Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli — that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'My father slaughtered his sacrificial animal before he prayed [the Eid prayer].' He said: 'Let him slaughter another one in its place.' The man said: 'He only has a female kid [jadh'a of a goat].' He said: 'Let him use it — for it will suffice for him, though it may not suffice for anyone else.'
