حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَوْ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَ

حَدِهِمَا أَوْ كِلَيْهِمَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id or from Abu Salama — from one or both of them — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The child belongs to the [marriage] bed [al-waladu lil-firash — the child is attributed to the legal husband]. And for the fornicator: the stone [i.e., nothing, or rejection of any claim to the child].'
