‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُفْيَانُ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الزُّهْرِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سَعِيدٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمًا كَأَنَّ وُجُوهَهُمْ ‏ ‏الْمَجَانُّ ‏ ‏الْمُطْرَقَةُ نِعَالُهُمْ الشَّعْرُ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id — traced to the Prophet ﷺ: 'The Hour will not come until you fight a people whose faces are like layered shields [al-majan al-mutarraqa], and whose sandals are of hair.'
