English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from al-Zuhri, from al-A'raj — [read to him and confirmed from the Prophet ﷺ]: 'If your neighbor asks permission to place a wooden beam in your wall, do not refuse him.' When Abu Hurayra narrated this to them [his audience], they lowered their heads [as if reluctant to act on it]. He said: 'What is the matter? I see you turning away! By Allah, I will certainly cast it between your shoulders [force it upon you by declaring it publicly].''
