English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Do you not marvel at how the insults of Quraysh are diverted away from me? They curse and vilify [a man they call] Mudhammam [the dispraised one] — yet I am Muhammad [the praised one — not Mudhammam].'
