English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan [whom Ahmad himself asked about this chain], from Sumayy, from Abu Salih — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Whoever prays over a funeral [janaza] earns one qirat [of reward]. And whoever follows it [the procession] until the matter is completed [until burial] earns two qirats — the smaller of the two — or one of them — is like Mount Uhud [in size/weight].'
