English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from 'Amr, from Yahya ibn Ja'da, from 'Abdillah ibn 'Amr al-Qari — who said: I heard Abu Hurayra say: 'No — by the Lord of this House — it was not I who said: "Whoever wakes in a state of janaba [major ritual impurity] shall not fast." Muhammad (ﷺ) — by the Lord of the House — said it! And it was not I who forbade fasting on Friday. Muhammad (ﷺ) forbade it — by the Lord of the House!'
