Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُهَيْلَ بْنَ أَبِي صَالِحٍ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ

مْ بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَصَلُّوا أَرْبَعًا فَإِنْ عَجِلَ بِكَ شَيْءٌ فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ إِذَا رَجَعْتَ قَالَ ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ لَا أَدْرِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْ لَا

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Ibn Idris, who said: I heard Suhayl ibn Abi Salih narrating from his father — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When you pray after the Jumu'a prayer, pray four rak'ahs. If you are in a hurry, pray two rak'ahs in the mosque and two when you return [home].' Ibn Idris said: 'I do not know whether this hadith goes back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ or not.'
