English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad (mawla of Banu Jumah) — that he heard Abu Hurayra say — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'While a man was strutting in a garment, admiring his flowing locks [jumma], with his izar trailing [on the ground in arrogance], Allah caused the earth to swallow him up — and he will be sinking [yatajaljialu] — or he said: plunging [yahwi] — into it until the Day of Resurrection.'
