Hadith #49
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَ
نْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا هَلَكَ كِسْرَى فَلَا كِسْرَى بَعْدَهُ وَإِذَا هَلَكَ قَيْصَرُ فَلَا قَيْصَرَ بَعْدَهُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَتُنْفِقُنَّ كُنُوزَهُمَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-A'la, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When Kisra [Khosrow, King of Persia] perishes, there will be no Kisra after him. And when Caesar [Qaysar] perishes, there will be no Caesar after him. By the One in Whose hand is Muhammad's soul, you will certainly spend their treasures in the way of Allah.'
