حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أ
َبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَفْضُلُ الصَّلَاةُ فِي الْجَمِيعِ عَلَى صَلَاةِ الرَّجُلِ وَحْدَهُ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ وَيَجْتَمِعُ مَلَائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ اقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ { وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا }

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-A'la, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Prayer in congregation is superior to the prayer of a man alone by twenty-five [degrees]. And the angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the Fajr prayer.' Then Abu Hurayra added: 'Read if you wish: {and the recitation of Fajr — indeed the recitation of Fajr is witnessed} [17:78].'
