حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَل
َّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَبِي وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَالٍ وَلَا عَفَا رَجُلٌ عَنْ مَظْلَمَةٍ إِلَّا زَادَهُ اللَّهُ عِزًّا وَلَا تَوَاضَعَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Ibn Abi 'Adiyy, from Shu'ba, from al-'Ala', from his father; and via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Charity does not diminish wealth. No man pardons a wrong done to him except that Allah increases him in honor. And no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises him [in rank].'
