حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ عَنْ بَرَكَةَ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَس
ُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمُدُّ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَرَى بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ وَقَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Ibn Abi 'Adiyy, from Sulayman [al-Taymi], from Baraka, from Bashir ibn Nahik — that Abu Hurayra said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ extending his hands until I could see the whiteness of his armpits.' Sulayman [explained:] 'meaning during the rain prayer [al-istisqa'].'
