حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَي

ْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ لَا يَرُدُّ مِنْ الْقَدَرِ وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنْ الْبَخِيلِ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, I heard al-'Ala narrating from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ, that he prohibited making vows and said: 'It does not bring any good. It only extracts (something) from the miser.'
