حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِ

Body (Matn)

دٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسَاجِدِ يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ جَاءَ فُلَانٌ مِنْ سَاعَةِ كَذَا جَاءَ فُلَانٌ مِنْ سَاعَةِ كَذَا جَاءَ فُلَانٌ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ جَاءَ فُلَانٌ فَأَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَمْ يُدْرِكْ الْجُمُعَةَ إِذَا لَمْ يُدْرِكْ الْخُطْبَةَ

English Translation

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Aws ibn Khalid, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Hour will not be established until a man passes by the grave of another and says: Would that I were in his place.'
