حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجُلَاسِ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ شَمَّاخٍ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ مَرْوَانَ سَأَلَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَيْ
فَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ فَقَالَ مَعَ الَّذِي قُلْتُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبُّهَا وَأَنْتَ خَلَقْتَهَا وَأَنْتَ هَدَيْتَهَا لِلْإِسْلَامِ وَأَنْتَ قَبَضْتَ رُوحَهَا وَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِسِرِّهَا وَعَلَانِيَتِهَا جِئْنَا شُفَعَاءَ فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, Abu al-Julas 'Uqbah ibn Yasar narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Shammakh narrated to me, he said: I witnessed Marwan asking Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say anything? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Do not make my grave a place of celebration, and do not make your houses into graves. And send salah upon me, for indeed your salah reaches me wherever you are.'
