حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَجَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ وَعَبَّادِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
خَرَجَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَهُمْ يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِي الشَّجَرَةِ الَّتِي اجْتُثَّتْ مِنْ فَوْقِ الْأَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِنْ قَرَارٍ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَحْسَبُهَا الْكَمْأَةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْكَمْأَةُ مِنْ الْمَنِّ وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ وَالْعَجْوَةُ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ لِلسُّمِّ

English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us from Qatadah, Ja'far ibn Abi Wahshiyyah, and 'Abbad ibn Mansur, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to his Companions while they were debating about the tree that was uprooted from above the earth with no root. Some of them said: "I think it is the truffle." the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Truffles are from al-mann (manna), and their water is a cure for the eye. And 'ajwah dates are from Paradise, and they are a cure for poison."
