حَدَّثَنَا غَسَّانُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ مُوصِلِيٌّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يُؤْتَى بِالْمَوْتِ كَبْشًا أَغْثَرَ فَيُوقَفُ بَيْنَ ا
لْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ فَيُقَالُ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَشْرَئِبُّونَ وَيَنْظُرُونَ وَيُقَالُ لِأَهْلِ النَّارِ فَيَشْرَئِبُّونَ وَيَنْظُرُونَ وَيَرَوْنَ أَنْ قَدْ جَاءَ الْفَرَجُ فَيُذْبَحُ فَيُقَالُ خُلُودٌ لَا مَوْتَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَاهُ

English Translation
Ghassan ibn al-Rabi' al-Mawsili narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us from 'Asim ibn Bahdala, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Death will be brought in the form of a speckled ram and made to stand between Paradise and Hell. It will be said: 'O people of Paradise!' and they will crane their necks and look. Then it will be said to the people of Hell, and they will crane their necks and look, thinking that relief has come. Then it will be slaughtered, and it will be said: 'Eternity, with no death.'" Abu Mu'awiyah and Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd also narrated this to us, both saying: al-A'mash narrated to us from Abu Salih, from Abu Sa'id, from the Prophet ﷺ, and they mentioned the same.
