Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَوَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَلْيَنْفُضْ فِرَاشَهُ بِدَاخِلَةِ إِزَارِهِ وَلْيَتَوَسَّدْ يَمِينَهُ ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّ وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَهَا فَارْحَمْهَا وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَا
حْفَظْهَا بِمَا حَفِظْتَ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ وَهُوَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَوَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us from 'Abdullah, he said: Sa'id narrated to me from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you retires to his bed, let him dust his bed with the inside edge of his lower garment, and let him rest on his right side, then say: 'In Your Name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and by You I raise it. O Allah, if You take my soul, then have mercy on it. And if You release it, then protect it with that which You protect Your righteous servants.'" Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Malik al-Harrani also narrated from Zuhayr, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Umar, from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah with the same hadith.
