حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُنَجِّي
هِ مِنْ النَّارِ إِلَّا بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْ اللَّهِ وَفَضْلٍ قَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَنْتَ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ قَالَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ يَقْبِضُهَا وَيَبْسُطُهَا

English Translation
Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, he said I heard Muhammad ibn Sirin, he said Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) informed me, he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever follows a funeral procession of a Muslim out of faith and seeking reward, and remains with it until the prayer is offered and the burial is completed, he will return with two qirats, each qirat being like Mount Uhud. And whoever offers the prayer over it and then returns before it is buried, he will return with one qirat.'
