English Translation
Yahya ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, he said Abu Yunus narrated to us, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him. And whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him.' It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, all of us hate death.' He said: 'It is not about that. Rather, when the believer is given glad tidings of Allah's mercy, His pleasure, and His Paradise, he loves to meet Allah and Allah loves to meet him. And when the disbeliever is given tidings of Allah's punishment and His wrath, he hates to meet Allah and Allah hates to meet him.'
