حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو
سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا تَسْعَوْنَ وَأْتُوهَا تَمْشُونَ وَعَلَيْكُمْ السَّكِينَةُ فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا

English Translation
Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Layth narrated to us, he said: 'Uqayl narrated to me, from Ibn Shihab, who said: Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf informed me that he heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) saying: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When the prayer is called, do not come to it running. Come to it walking, and maintain tranquility. Whatever you catch of the prayer, pray it, and whatever you miss, complete it."
