Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيه
ِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard al-'Ala' narrating from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Every prayer in which Umm al-Kitab (al-Fatihah) is not recited is deficient (khidaj), deficient, deficient — incomplete."
