English Translation

I read to 'Abd al-Rahman: Malik; and Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Malik informed us, from Sumayy, the freed slave of Abu Bakr, from Abu Salih al-Samman, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever performs ghusl on Friday" — in the narration of 'Abd al-Rahman: like the ghusl of janabah — "then goes (to the mosque) in the first hour, it is as if he offered a camel. Whoever goes in the second hour, it is as if he offered a cow. Whoever goes in the third hour, it is as if he offered a horned ram" — Ishaq said: "a horned one" — "Whoever goes in the fourth hour, it is as if he offered a chicken. Whoever goes in the fifth hour, it is as if he offered an egg. When the imam comes out, the angels come to listen to the dhikr (sermon)."
