Chain of Narration (Isnad)

‏ ‏وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏

قَالَ ‏ ‏خَيْرُ ‏ ‏الصَّدَقَةِ ‏ ‏مَا تَرَكَ غِنًى أَنْ تَتَصَدَّقَ عَنْ ‏ ‏ظَهْرِ غِنًى ‏ ‏وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ ‏ ‏تَعُولُ ‏ ‏وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى ‏

English Translation

And with the same chain of narration, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'The best charity is that which leaves sufficiency behind. To give charity while having enough yourself [is best]. And begin with those whom you support. The upper hand [the giving one] is better than the lower hand [the receiving one].'
