English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Three people Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful punishment: a man who swears a false oath regarding his merchandise by which he deceives a Muslim man; a man who swears a false oath after the 'Asr prayer by which he seizes the wealth of a Muslim; and a man who withholds his excess water. Allah will say to him: Today I withhold My grace from you as you withheld the excess of what you did not create.'
