حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي السَّلِيلِ عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ قَالَ تُوُفِّيَ ابْنَانِ لِي فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَس
َلَّمَ حَدِيثًا تُحَدِّثُنَاهُ يُطَيِّبُ بِأَنْفُسِنَا عَنْ مَوْتَانَا قَالَ نَعَمْ صِغَارُهُمْ دَعَامِيصُ الْجَنَّةِ يَلْقَى أَحَدُهُمْ أَبَاهُ أَوْ قَالَ أَبَوَيْهِ فَيَأْخُذُ بِنَاحِيَةِ ثَوْبِهِ أَوْ يَدِهِ كَمَا آخُذُ بِصَنِفَةِ ثَوْبِكَ هَذَا فَلَا يُفَارِقُهُ حَتَّى يُدْخِلَهُ اللَّهُ وَأَبَاهُ الْجَنَّةَ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abi 'Adiyy narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Abu al-Salil, from Abu Hassan, who said: Two sons of mine died. I said to Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): 'Did you hear from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ anything that could console us regarding our deceased?' He said: 'Yes, their young children are the little ones of Paradise. One of them will meet his father — or his parents — and take hold of his garment, just as I take hold of the hem of your garment, and will not let go until Allah admits him and his father into Paradise.'
