حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِ

ي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ وَلَا تَنْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ فَوْقَكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ لَا تَزْدَرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ

English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to me, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Look at those below you and do not look at those above you, for that is more likely to prevent you from belittling the blessings of Allah upon you.'
