English Translation
Ishaq narrated to us, Malik informed us — he said: And I recited to 'Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you stands in prayer, let him not spit in front of him, for he is conversing with Allah (عز وجل) as long as he is in his prayer place. And let him not spit to his right, for there is an angel to his right. Let him spit to his left or beneath his foot and bury it.'
