English Translation
Abu 'Amir narrated to us, Dawud ibn Qays narrated to us, from 'Iyad ibn 'Abdullah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Prophet ﷺ used to go out on the day of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha to the prayer ground. The first thing he would do was pray. Then he would face the people while they were sitting in their rows and admonish them, advise them, and command them. If he wished to dispatch an army, he would do so, and if he wished to command something, he would command it. He said: He would say: 'Give charity, give charity, give charity.' And the most who would give were the women.
