Hadith #225

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Wuhayb narrated to us, Musa ibn 'Uqbah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban narrated to me, from Ibn Muhayriz, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) regarding the expedition of Banu al-Mustaliq: that they captured prisoners from among the Arabs and desired the women, while missing their wives, and the spoils appealed to them. So they wanted to practice 'azl [coitus interruptus]. They said: 'Shall we practice 'azl while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is among us without asking him?' So they asked him, and he said: 'There is no harm in your not doing it, for Allah has not decreed a soul to come into being except that it will come into being.'
